Multi-talented hip-hop and R&B singer/songwriter and producer Mayze has announced the drop of his debut EP The Afterparty which is set to be officially released on 13th January 2018 under the REKLESS collective.

Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, the 20-year old creates a blend of modern hip-hop and soft smooth melodies of R&B, making for a catchy, yet direct and edgy sound. Listening to the likes of 50 Cent, Kanye West and Lil' Wayne growing up, Mayze developed a passion for hip-hop and began to teach himself to produce, record and mix his own music in order to develop as a musician and follow in the footsteps of the artists that inspired him. After years of dedication and hard work honing his craft, Mayze now presents himself as a versatile singer, songwriter and producer on the rise.

His newest EP The Afterparty meshes and blends R&B atmosphere of his home city Toronto with the bubbling trap sounds of Atlanta, an example of Mayze's sonic vision. Offering direct and edgy lyricism, cinematic beats and a modern fare that echoes the work of his contemporary influences such as J. Cole, Tory Lanez and Drake. Capturing the vivid night life of Toronto, this newest project takes the listener on a journey, sharing tales of being young and care-free. Written, recorded, mixed and mastered by Mayze himself, in order to communicate to the exact vision imagined by Mayze to his listeners, the EP is exemplary of what to expect from the up and coming artist.
