“You see the haters coming?! You hear the hate?!” They have made a legacy out of championing success. Albeit before, they leaned in a financial direction, with their latest single, Koinda Records is spotlighting a different avenue of accomplishment. Charged by the energetically phenomenal emcee, Ace Burns (who heads the label), Koinda presents “Boss Fit”— an anthemic banger aimed to push the ladies through their fall flexes and winter workouts, closing 2019.

Yes, essentially, “Boss Fit” is a gym smash; dedicated particularly to health/fitness and physical achievement. It sports a spirited, almost electronic melody that is boomed by 808s and trap percussions. Ace Burns blends seamlessly into this See See Beats-produced world of sounds with an even greater blitz of power; delivering a torrent of well-timed, motivating rhymes. Perhaps the biggest gym anthem since Kanye West’s “Workout Plan”, “Boss Fit” is a titanic tribute to female trainers and trainees worldwide. Likewise, it is another push for Ace Burns, and his Koinda imprint, towards spreading inspiration, with zero hesitation, across the globe.

It is utterly insane how electric Jetcity Records can make a twenty-two track project sound. With their long-awaited debut, “Welcome To Jet City”, this high-flying Hip-Hop collective takes compilation albums to new, modern-trap heights.

Peep the sweet video interview with JetCity Records:

Almost every track on “Welcome To Jet City” is a profound posse cut. Loco 2k, Nucky JMC, Rup Monsta, Skyler, Big Ox, Aye Michelle, and Ag Souljah are the prominent pyromaniacs of the album; blazing through hooks and verses with lyricism and inflections that keep the energy at an all time high. What is likewise captivating about “Welcome To Jet City” is that it is not a constant stream of original content. Rocking the ride, every now and then, is the turbulence of mainstream remixes. “Thotiana” by Blueface; “Lil Bebe” by Danileigh; “Middle Child” by J Cole; “Going Bad” by Meek Mill and Drake; each one of these records are terrifically remixed by the talents on this album, steering it into clouds of spontaneous exhilaration. Certainly, “Welcome To Jet City” may intimidate you with the length of its tracklist. However, once play is pressed, and the debut opus truly takes off, you will not regret a single song. With such an invigorating list of bangers, this soaring collective simply cannot be shot down.

“All in my face, ‘cuz they wanna ride my wave!” When first starting up, Zero The Kidd’s “Wave” will mislead you. By its watery, ambient synth and tame, auto-tuned intro, you will be convinced that this single is yet another calm pool of modern-trap majesty. That is until the 808 punches the mix, and you are dragged into the current of a high-energy anthem. It is fitting that Zero’s home is Boynton Beach, Florida; for this track is an inescapable tsunami of sound. Washing freshly across your speakers, from the shores of the Sunshine State, “Wave” commands a radio-ready swagger not easily accomplished. Swimming through kicks, snares and hats, Zero The Kidd makes an impressive splash on the record; unleashing a stream of bars and melodies that will enliven anyone who hears them. So much so, that it is certain “Wave” will add another million plays to the ten million Zero has already acquired. If you are in need of a tidal banger for your upcoming, September playlist, look no further than Zero The Kidd’s amazing latest— “Wave”.

“It’s been a while since I first saw you, something about that kiss...” For those of us who have had tremendous romantic encounters, these words from Chris Knite are a blast down memory lane. “Your pretty smile, girl, I can’t front it; Girl, I reminisce...” By the beam of his star-striking chorus, we are warped into complete recollection of that special someone; and reminded of the very moment each and everyone of us knew we were “Ready For Love”.

Native and nigh-tropical percussions keep this enamored power at a constant throughout the record. Surely, the beat is flavored by an array of synths, rises, and basslines that assign it Pop perfection; however, these drums are powerful enough by their lonesome to lift your spirit. Lift it high into the atmosphere of this singer’s superb vocals. Through clouds of reverb and autotune, Chris Knite sings with the resplendence of his Sunshine State. As he serenades his unnamed love interest (in a fantastic mixture of English and Spanish), his voice flourishes with a lushness only Jacksonville, Florida could provide; making for an earth-shaking R&B hit. Love is in the air this summer and, thanks to Chris Knite’s latest, it’ll remain that way for the rest of 2019. Singlehandedly, he’ll have us all “Ready For Love”.

In a day where upcoming artists tend to focus on one craft, Melxdie is a beautiful anomaly. As heart-warming and soul-stirring as her singing is, her talent does not halt at vocals. She is equally alluring as an actress; and with the drop of visuals for her latest single, 'GIRLS R BETTER', the Canadian angel proves she is destined for super-stardom. For, the visual strikes less like a music video, and more like a movie; illuminated by a collection of scenes that tell the story of a female-ran body shop (in which Melxdie plays an employee) fronting for a diamond heist. Jamaican artist, Mavado, joins in on the visual (as well as the song), playing the role of the shop's owner. Certainly, their chemistry on screen is astounding; however, when their power collides on the song, the pair creates an even greater work of art.'GIRLS R BETTER' is a rhythmic pop song, styled by rushing drums and colors of climatic synths. Melxdie brings the sweetness of pop music with her breath-taking delivery on the record; whilst Mavado brings the melodic swagger of his native dancehall. What results is a radio-ready, Billboard-deadly hit; teeming with the prospect of launching the songstress straight to the top. Through her singing and on-screen performance, Melxdie proves beyond a reasonable doubt that 'GIRLS R BETTER'; and she is only the right pair of ears and eyes away from international acclaim.

Kansas City, KS rap artist Brandon Mitchell presents his latest single entitled “Flexin” produced by George Burns. On the track, Brandon floats over the laid-back, mellow production while explaining to listeners the importance of leveling up and putting the proper work and effort into your dreams. Brandon on the song’s meaning: “It’s a song about stepping up to the plate and executing your destiny. Fully living out your goals and resolutions. Flexing your muscles and showing the world that you are close to reaching your potential.” Aside from its cool demeanor and heavy bassline, “Flexin” is also a subtle, unashamed dedication to the love of God and love of self.

One thing that will always go absolutely respected over here is versatility. The ability, as an artist, to prove that your talent extends beyond just one form of artistry; and how variously you can connect with the audience of the world. After dropping his modern-trap dedication to his younger brother, “25”, Brandon Mitchell is spinning back around with “Dope”; and its sonic difference from the aforementioned banger proves exactly that: he has much more to offer the globe. Featuring Rockomal and Sasha Mari, “Dope” is a more intensely, melody-powered track; bolting a luscious, slow-jam groove that totally rivals the last. It exhibits Brandon Mitchell in a completely different atmosphere; spitting over a colorful chord progression, ghostly background vocals, and bouncing trap drums. The music video that chaperones this drop is just as vibrant; depicting the Kansas emcee, as well as who appears to be Rockomal, rocking to the feel-good smash in the middle of a desert. If not a metaphor for this summery single, it certainly could be. The song is as hot as the earth they are walking on. Between Brandon Mitchell’s rhymes, Rockomal’s and Sasha Mari’s unique, sing-song offerings, and the torrid production that backs them, “Dope” is definitely poised to rule our May, June, and July. And this lyricist, with his immaculate versatility, poised to climb the charts.

Love is in the air this Springtime. It is certainly light enough for “There For You” to float around: an amorous, trap ballad by the upcoming talent, Justin Smith. Clocking in at nearly three minutes exactly, “There For You” is as romantically moving as a 2019 banger can get. Emotionally, Justin wisps about with wings of autotune, chronicling his climatic ups and downs with a significant other. These introspective rhymes and his heartfelt delivery merge well with the melancholic instrumental surrounding him. As slowly as those pianos keys prance through your headphones, the passion of Justin Smith will pass through your soul. It is through this matchless ability to put his raw feelings on wax, that during such a tender season as Spring, Justin Smith makes “There For You” a playlist-worthy smash.
